TidySlot: a job and team management SaaS for service firms

Summary

TidySlot is a job and team management SaaS for service firms in India: CA and law firms, architects, agencies and consultants. Its founder, CA. Vinod Pahilwani, saw the same problem across firms: work assigned on WhatsApp, recurring filings remembered by one person, and nobody able to see who is overloaded.

TidySlot needed a product it could sell by the seat: an app that puts every job on the right person's day with a link to where the work lives, a way for teams to sign up and pay online, and a back office to run the business.

What we did

Team app

• Time Blocker: jobs with a link to the sheet or portal where the work lives, or a status list, with categories and budgeted hours
• Assign a job to one or many people, recurring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly
• My Calendar with today's jobs, statuses and notes, and a Team Calendar with everyone's workload side by side
• Time Sheet with budget against actual hours, and Quick Links to every sheet, drive and portal
• Team roles (owner, admin, member), invites and organisation settings

Subscriptions and super admin

• A 14-day trial for every new team, then per-seat yearly plans paid online with Razorpay and confirmed by webhook
• Extra seats bought any time, prorated; invites stop at the seats paid for
• A super-admin portal for organisations, users, plans and prices, complimentary access and extensions

Platform

• Serverless on AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora Serverless Postgres, S3, SES and Secrets Manager, defined as code and deployed by pipeline
